⭐ Sinner's Sensational Sunshine Double ⭐

Jannik Sinner capped an immaculate March with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Jiri Lehecka in the Miami Open final on Sunday, completing the Sunshine Double for the first time in his career. The Italian's path to the title featured clutch moments throughout, including saving triple set point against Joao Fonseca in the Indian Wells fourth round and rallying from 0-4 down in the second-set tiebreak against Daniil Medvedev in the desert final. Against Lehecka in Miami, Sinner faced his lone moment of danger while serving at 2-1 in the first set, going down 0-40 before firing off five consecutive unreturnable serves to escape unscathed and maintain control.

Sinner became the first player in tennis history to complete the Sunshine Double without losing a single set, sweeping all 24 sets across Indian Wells and Miami in dominant fashion. The 24-year-old joins an elite group as just the eighth man to win both tournaments in the same year, becoming the first since Roger Federer in 2017 to achieve the feat. His performance extended his Masters 1000 set-winning streak to 34 consecutive sets, obliterating Novak Djokovic's previous record of 24 straight. The Italian won 92 percent of his service games throughout March and nearly 80 percent of his first-serve points, putting up serve-bot numbers after making adjustments to his toss in the off-season.

Carlos Alcaraz opened 2026 in dominant fashion with the Australian Open title and a perfect 16-0 start, but Sinner has emphatically flipped the script heading into the clay-court season. The world number two entered March in his rival's shadow after falling to Djokovic in the Australian Open semifinals, but he exits the Sunshine Swing having won 12 straight matches without surrendering a set. Sinner's ability to remain even-keeled through early (relative) struggles has paid dividends, as he refused to panic after going titleless through the first two months of the year. The Italian now carries his own winning streak into the European clay swing, ready to battle Alcaraz on equal footing once again.

😎 Sabalenka Gets Her Revenge 😎

Aryna Sabalenka completed the Sunshine Double with a hard-fought 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 victory over Coco Gauff in the Miami Open final on Saturday, becoming the fifth woman ever to win Indian Wells and Miami in the same season. The world number one raced through the opening set with dominant baseline play, breaking in the first and seventh games while firing backhand winners to both corners. Gauff battled back in the second set with deep, heavy forehands and converted a rare break opportunity at 5-4 to level the match, but Sabalenka reclaimed control in the decisive third set by breaking immediately and never looking back despite a raucous home crowd firmly behind the American.

This victory represented months of mental work for Sabalenka and her team, who spent countless hours dissecting why big finals had gotten too much in her head in the past. The 27-year-old Belarusian had lost Grand Slam finals to Gauff at both the 2023 US Open and 2025 French Open after winning the opening set, with nerves and a blizzard of unforced errors derailing her in both matches. Sabalenka began her mental reset at Indian Wells, where she saved a match point against Elena Rybakina in the final, and carried that breakthrough into Miami against another tough opponent. When the pressure moment arrived with Gauff serving in the opening game of the third set, Sabalenka stayed composed and broke immediately to seize control.

Sabalenka has won three WTA titles and 23 of 24 matches in 2026, with her only loss coming to Rybakina in the Australian Open final. The Belarusian has systematically conquered every barrier in her career, from service yips to reaching number one, but big-final jitters remained her final hurdle until this month's breakthrough performances. Off the court, Sabalenka also got engaged to boyfriend Georgios Frangulis, calling March the best month of her life both personally and professionally. While the ultimate test remains winning another Grand Slam final under pressure, Sabalenka turned a corner by winning two three-set finals over rivals in the span of two weeks, proving she's strong enough to handle the moments that once broke her.
