👑 Sinner Defends Six Kings Slam Crown 👑

Jannik Sinner defended his Six Kings Slam title with a dominant 6-2, 6-4 win over Carlos Alcaraz in the final. The world No. 2 showed noticeable improvement on serve after his US Open final loss to Alcaraz, never facing a break point throughout the match. Meanwhile, Taylor Fritz extended his winning streak against Alexander Zverev to seven matches with a quarterfinal victory, then notched his first-ever win over Novak Djokovic after the Serb retired during the third-place playoff. Though these exhibition results don't count toward official head-to-head records, they showcase compelling form shifts as the tennis world eagerly anticipates the ATP Tour Finals in Turin.
Off the court, the Six Kings Slam continued to showcase its massive prize money and celebrity presence. Each of the six participants earned $1.5 million just for appearing, with Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas pocketing that sum for merely two sets of tennis each, roughly $25,000 per minute for Zverev's 59-minute effort. Sinner pocketed an additional $4.5 million along with a custom golden racket valued at $250,000. Celebrities including Shaquille O’Neal and streamer IShowSpeed were in attendance, though the latter’s inclusion sparked debate among tennis fans over whether the event’s flashy crossover marketing undermines the sport’s tradition.
🎾 Weekly Roundup: Medvedev ends the Drought 🎾

Djokovic qualified for the ATP Finals for a record 18th time, tying Roger Federer's all-time mark. The seven-time (7) champion has won the season-ending event more than anyone in history and enters Turin having captured the title in his last two appearances in 2022 and 2023 before missing last year due to injury.
Medvedev snapped his 882-day title drought by winning the Almaty Open final 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 over Corentin Moutet. The former world No. 1 had lost six finals since his last title at the 2023 Italian Open, but the win extends his remarkable streak of 21 titles in 21 different cities.
Leylah Fernandez claimed her fifth career title at the Japan Open, defeating 18-year-old qualifier Tereza Valentová 6-0, 5-7, 6-3 in Osaka. The Canadian dominated early before the Czech teen forced a deciding set, but Fernandez's composure sealed her second title of 2025.
Holger Rune will undergo surgery after rupturing his Achilles tendon during his Stockholm semifinal. The 22-year-old Dane announced the devastating injury on Instagram. Recovery typically takes at least six months, ending his 2025 season and likely impacting early 2026 schedule.
Rybakina rallied past Ekaterina Alexandrova 3-6, 6-0, 6-2 at the Ningbo Open to claim her 10th career title. Meanwhile, Casper Ruud won his first indoor title at the Stockholm Open, dropping just three points on serve in a dominant final. Felix Auger-Aliassime also triumphed at the European Open in Belgium.
